LIBERTY, Ind. – The Lincoln girls tennis team posted a 4-1 victory at Union County on Friday.
The Golden Eagles won two singles contests and both doubles matches in the Tri-Eastern Conference affair.
Jamie Buhl defeated Micaila Rosenberger 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 1 singles spot, while Rachel Merida beat Megan Abbott 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2.
Union County’s victory came in the third singles spot as Marin Thurmer got past Ali Reese 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles action, Lydia Bertsch and Kylei Klein took care of Hailey Price and Emily Meyers 6-0, 6-1.
At No. 2 doubles, Leslie Richardson and Kami Laymon won 6-0, 2-1 as Brookelyn Smith and Jessica Robinson retired.
Lincoln, which is 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the TEC, goes to the Rushville Invitational on Saturday.
