SELMA, Ind. – Lincoln won a battle of ranked teams on Thursday as the Golden Eagles defeated Wapahani 4-3.
Kylee Smith led the Golden Eagles, who are the top-ranked team in Class 1A at 16-2.
Smith had four hits as she drove in three runs against the Raiders, who are No. 4 in Class 2A.
Jaela Patton knocked in Lincoln’s other run.
Hannah Hall earned the victory. She left the mound with one out in the sixth inning after fanning four.
Kaleigh Lamb picked up a save as she record the final five outs with a pair of strikeouts.
