CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – Lincoln’s boys tennis team earned a 4-1 win over Tri on Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles swept all of the singles competition and took one doubles match.
In singles play, Seth Martin defeated Clayton Becker 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1. At No. 2, Seth Morris beat Kyle Falck 6-0, 6-0. In the third spot, Austin Lanich won 6-0, 6-0 over Adam Glaze.
Lincoln’s Mark Cox and Mathew Berry won 6-3, 7-5 over Jarrod Stevens and Isaiah Steele at No. 2 doubles.
Tri’s victory was at No. 1 doubles as Mason Rottinghaus and Jimmy Jeffries won 6-4, 6-0 over Nate Gulde and Jeb Reece.
“Our doubles teams were solid,” Tri Head Coach Duke Falck said. “They played some of their best tennis of the year. I’m very happy with the direction they are going.”
The Titans entertain Union County on Thursday.
The Golden Eagles face Franklin County at home next Wednesday.
