LIBERTY, Ind. – The Lincoln softball team claimed the Tri-Eastern Conference title on Tuesday as the second-ranked Golden Eagles defeated Union County 12-2.
The Golden Eagles scored 11 times in the first inning to take control of the contest.
Hannah Hall worked for the five innings on the mound to get the win as she struck out eight. Karleigh Lamb tossed the final frame.
Hall also had three hits to lead the Golden Eagles on offense.
Jaela Patton knocked in four runs, while Karleigh Hall had two hits and drove in three.
Lamb also had a pair of hits.
Lincoln (14-1, 8-0) is at Connersville on Thursday.
Union County (11-8, 5-2) entertains Centerville on Monday.
