Miles Inducted into Union County Hall of Fame

LIBERTY, Ind. –
The final member of this year’s Union County Hall of Fame induction class was honored on Wednesday at halftime of the boys basketball contest.

Malcolm Miles was recognized for his athletic exploits at Liberty Short High School.

Miles played varsity basketball for two seasons averaging 16.4 points per game as a junior and 21.8 as a senior.

He was All-Tri-Eastern Conference both years and also served as the team’s co-captain.

He was also a member of the golf team for three years and eventually graduated from the University of Evansville in 1968.

Miles joins Maggie Tidrow and Jordan Perry-Molina, who were both honored early this month.

Tidrow is a 2012 Union County graduate, who played softball for four years.

She was the TEC Player of the Year as a senior and was a member of three conference, two sectional championship teams along with a regional title winner. She holds school season records for wins (18), strikeouts (303) and ERA 0.39

she is a 2016 graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, where she played softball for two years after competing at Cardinal Stritch University for a pair of seasons.

Perry-Molina graduated from Union County in 2009.

She ran cross county for three seasons and played basketball four years.

In cross country, she part of three TEC titles and two sectional crowns. As an individual she set the school record in the 4K and was All-TEC twice, while qualifying for the regional and semi-state.

She was All-TEC in basketball three times and was a member of 2006 sectional championship team. She holds several school records and ranks second in career points (1,024) and third in steals (262).

A member of the 2009 North/South All-Star Team, she played basketball at Indiana Wesleyan University before graduating from Ball State University in 2013.
