The top performances in Major League Baseball this week were by Jarrett Parker of the San Francisco Giants and Carlos Carrasco of the Cleveland Indians.

Parker had three home runs for the Giants in their 14-10 victory at Oakland on Saturday, Sept. 26. He hit a solo shot in the second inning off A’€™s starter Barry Zito. In the seventh, he blasted a two-run homer off Drew Pomeranz.

Parker finished the contest with seven RBI as he hit a grand slam in the eighth off Ryan Dull.

In 15 games this season, Parker is batting .400 with six homers and 12 RBI.

Carrasco tossed a one-hitter in Kansas City in a 6-0 win over the Royals. He struck out 15 and walked two as he threw 113 pitches. The only hit was by Alex Rios in the seventh inning.

This season, Carrasco is 14-11 with an ERA of 3.44. He also has 211 strikeouts.
