FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – Tyler Smith scored 30 points on Tuesday to lead second-ranked Northeastern to a 54-52 win over No. 21 Covenant Christian.
Smith also had 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals as the Knights won their second straight contest.
Freeman Brou added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Knights.
Nate Reynolds finished with five points, six rebounds and four assists. Harrison Rice grabbed eight rebounds.
Northeastern won the JV contest 34-33.
The Knights (2-0) entertain Tri-Eastern Conference foe Centerville on Friday.
