KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. – Northeastern needed one extra inning on Tuesday, but it was worth the wait as the Knights defeated No. 6 Knightstown 3-2.
Bailey Stewart entered the contest in the sixth and worked a scoreless seventh to earn the victory in relief of Tanner Wilson
Mason Fisher shut down the Panthers (6-1) in the eighth to earn a save.
Connor Bray and Fisher led the Knights with two hits apiece.
Northeastern (1-3) is at Shenandoah on Wednesday.
