The Northeastern boys basketball team was the only Class 2A team in the top four of the latest Associated Press poll announced on Tuesday to remain in the same spot.
The Knights (17-3) stayed in the No. 3 position, while Lapel (18-2) moved back into the top spot from second.
Barr-Reeve (18-3) went down to No. 2 after a week at No. 1.
After losing to Lapel last week, Shenandoah (17-2) fell two spots to No. 6. The Raiders (16-2) entertain Hagerstown (12-7) on Friday as the Tigers play their third contest in a row against a ranked team. Hagerstown has dropped its last two games against Northeastern and Lapel.
On Friday, the Knights (5-0 in the Tri-Eastern Conference) travel to Winchester (13-6, 4-2).
