FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – The Northeastern softball team won its second straight Tri-Eastern Conference affair on Friday as the Knights defeated Tri 4-1.
Northeastern pitcher Katie Schneider surrendered three hits, while striking out five to get the win over the Titans.
Sierra Gilmore picked up a pair of hits for the Knights. Schneider knocked in two runs and had a hit.
Katlyn williams, Lauren York, Chaise Helton, and Mikayla Hornung each had hits for the Knights.
Tri’s Abbi Coffman got the loss on the mound for the Titans with three innings of work.
Mackenzie Peggs led the Titans with two hits.
The Knights (3-2, 2-0) travel to Leo on Saturday and they also face Elkhart Central.
The Titans (4-1, 0-1) entertain Eastern Hancock on Saturday.
