Northeastern exploded in the first half of its football season opener on Friday as the Knights defeated Knightstown 46-7.
The Knights led 16-0 after one period and 38-0 by the intermission as they had a pair of running backs go over 100 yards on the ground for the contest.
Ryan Hartmann gained 162 yards with one touchdown, while Connor Bray scored twice as he rushed for 127 yards. As a team, the Knights gained 429 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Jacob Auger completed 5-of-6 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns.
Cole Retter topped the Knights with three grabs for 85 yards and one of the scores. Kaleb Mikesell caught his only pass of the contest for a 61-yard touchdown. Bray had the other reception for 18 yards.
Northeastern (1-0) starts play in the Tri-Eastern Conference next Friday with a visit to Winchester. The Golden Falcons are coming off a 13-3 win at South Adams.
