CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – Northeastern won its second Tri-Eastern Conference contest of the season on Friday as the Knights defeated Lincoln 74-56 in boys basketball.
Lincoln led early in the contest with an 11-10 advantage at the first stop and then 28-23 at halftime.
However, the Knights grabbed a 55-40 lead heading into the final frame.
Nate Reynolds led the Knights with 23 points. Tyler Smith added 19 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Freeman Brou tossed in 18 points.
For the Lincoln, Garrett Pumphrey finished with 27 points and 17 rebounds. Hunter Ferris contributed 21 points.
Northeastern (13-4, 2-0) faces Liberty Christian on Saturday at Anderson University
The Golden Eagles (10-4, 2-1) are at Daleville.
