CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – Allie Owens scored 21 points on Tuesday as the Lincoln girls basketball team defeated Knightstown in a Tri-Eastern Conference contest.
Lincoln led 11-9 at the first stop before the Panthers were on top 24-22 by halftime.
The Golden Eaghles were able to pull away in the second half as Owens scored 15 of her points after the intermission.
Laynie Russell finished with 10 points.
For Knightstown, Jessica Butler led the way with 10 points.
Lori Thomas tossed in nine and Kaitlyn Jackson had eight.
The Panthers won the JV game 47-11 as Alexis Howard scored 13 points. Emma-Kate Moore and Katie Clark both added 11 points.
Jenna Bertsch led Lincoln with three points.
The Golden Eagles (10-8, 3-3) are at Blue River (12-8) on Thursday, while the Panthers (3-16, 0-7) travel to Union County (7-11, 3-2) for a TEC affair the same night.
