Two PAC-12 contests are the only Top 25 affairs featuring ranked teams as the college football season enters its fourth week.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, No. 9 UCLA (3-0) travels to No. 16 Arizona (3-0), while No. 13 Oregon (2-1) entertains No. 18 Utah (3-0).
Arizona is coming off a 77-13 win over Northern Arizona, while UCLA defeated BYU 24-23 last week.
“After watching the film of NAU, I thought there were some good things for most of the game and some not so good things, particularly early in the game, but a lot of guys played,” Arizona Head Coach Rich Rodriguez said. “We have a lot of things to learn and get better from and certainly our guys know how big this one is.”
“You can sense or feel the big-game feel on campus this week, whether I want to preach or not, it is going to be there,” Rodriguez added. “There will be a lot of buzz about it all week. It is a division game against a highly ranked and undefeated team. Our guys came to Arizona to play in these big games and they get a chance to do it on Saturday.”
Oregon bounced back last week after its first loss of the year to beat Georgia State 61-28. Utah won its third game in a row this fall after beating Fresno State 45-24 on the road last week.
“I think our team gained confidence last year, going 9-4 and winning some really big in-conference games,” Utah Head Coach Kyle Whittingham said. “That gave our guys the mindset that if we play like we’re capable of, we’ll be in just about every football game that we play.”
