KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. – The Knightstown boys basketball team opened the season with three players in double figures on Wednesday as the Panthers defeated Tri High 80-51.
Jose Olivo led the Panthers in the Tri-Eastern Conference affair with 17 points and nine rebounds.
Jarred Porter tossed in 16 points, while Owen Wiles finished with 10 points.
Garrett Thomas added nine points as Tyler Burton had eight. Chase Burton had seven.
For the Titans, Nick Wilson led the way with 17 points.
Seth Butler had 10 points and Zach Smith contributed eight points.
The Panthers led 23-12 at the first stop before they were on top 41-26 at the intermission. Knightstown led 52-39 after three.
Tri High (0-1, 0-1) travels to Wapahani (1-0) on Saturday.
Knightstown (1-0, 1-0) visits Irvington Prep (0-0) on Tuesday.
