FAIRLAND, Ind. – The Knightstown softball team moved into the semifinals of the Class 2A Triton Central Sectional with a 5-4 victory over Heritage Christian on Tuesday.
The Panthers face Eastern Hancock on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Eastern Hancock defeated Indianapolis Howe 14-1.
Sidney Vise had two hits as she drove in the winning run in the top of the seventh inning. She also tossed complete game allowing four hits with three strikeouts.
After giving up a run in the first inning, the Panthers took the lead in the third on a grand slam by Jess Butler.
Heritage Christian tied the game with three runs in the fifth inning to set the stage for Vise.
