INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Union County’s Tucker Coffman finished fourth on Saturday in the IHSAA Wrestling State Finals at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse.
“I’m proud of the run Tucker made this weekend,” Union County Head Coach Dan Kelich said. “It’s definitely a great building block and he’s hungry for a title for next year.”
Coffman began the day with a victory in the 160 pound quarterfinals over the top-seeded Mason Winner of Jay County as he pinned him at 1:15.
In the semi-finals, Coffman lost 9-1 to eventual champion Nicholas South of Columbus East.
The final contest of the day for the No. 8 seed Coffman was a rematch against Carmel’s Jack Eiteljorge, who pinned him at 1:51.
Eiteljorge defeated Coffman in the regional title match last weekend.
