DALEVILLE, Ind. – The Union County baseball team defeated Class 1A No. 6 Daleville 8-3 on Monday night.
The Patriots scored six runs in the fifth inning to put the game away.
Preston Scott led the Patriots, who received votes in the Class 2A poll this week.
Scott had three hits and worked five innings on the mound in relief to get the win.
Mason Miller added a pair of hits and knocked in three runs.
Union County (21-6) entertains South Decatur on Tuesday.
