LIBERTY, Ind. – The Union County girls basketball team had four players in double figures on Friday as the Patriots opened the season with 54-48 victory over Milan.
Rainey Shepler led the way with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Tara Williams and Madison Gray tossed in 11 points each, while Gray added seven rebounds.
Taylor Pinkerton scored 10 points. Fayth Hill finished with seven points and six rebounds.
Union County led 18-7 after the first quarter before the Patriots 28-15 at the intermission. The Patriots increased their advantage to 41-27 at the end the of third.
The Patriots (1-0) are at North Decatur Tuesday.
