LIBERTY, Ind. – The Union County baseball team scored five times in the first inning on Tuesday as the third-ranked Patriots went on to a 12-0 victory over Franklin County.
Noah Hartley worked all five innings on the mound for the Patriots and gave up two hits with three strikeouts.
Joey Weller led the Patriots with three hits as he drove in four runs.
Zander Kottka knocked in five runs with a pair of hits.
Justin Witter and Nate Webb also had two hits apiece.
Preston Scott had a hit with two RBI, while Cameron Donovan added a hit with one RBI.
Union County (17-3, 6-0) entertains Tri High on Thursday in Tri-Eastern Conference action.
