GREENSBURG, Ind. – The Union County softball team exploded on Tuesday as the Patriots beat North Decatur 25-3.
The Patriots score 14 times in the first inning before an out was recorded.
Emma Adams and Tara Williams both hit two-run homers in the rally.
Tanner Henry led Union County with four hits, while Williams, Madison Walters, Kristen Klein had three hits each.
Adams and Madison Rosenberger both had a pair of hits. Rosenberger knocked in five runs and Adams had four RBI.
Rachel Sparks (2-0) picked up the win for the Patriots as she worked two innings on the mound.
Union County (4-2) visits Tri-Eastern Conference foe Hagerstown on Thursday.
