WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Union County baseball team broke open Tuesday’s Tri-Eastern Conference contest with some big innings late in the game as the Patriots defeated Winchester 17-2 to give Patriots Head Coach Jeff Mathews his 200th career victory.
Scott Mosley had three hits including a home run as he knocked in five runs.
Mason Miller also had three hits with a pair of doubles and three RBI.
Preston Scott added two hits with a homer, while Justin Philpot and Mook Shepler also had two hits apiece.
Joe Webb and Aaron Wallace had two hits for Winchester (2-3, 1-1), which travels to Adams Central on Wednesday.
The Patriots (6-0, 2-0) entertain Union City on Thursday.
