LIBERTY, Ind. – Union County’s offense hit high gear on Wednesday as the Patriots defeated Centerville 17-7 in five innings.
Nate Webb led the Patriots in the Tri-Eastern Conference affair with four hits, including a pair of doubles and a triple.
Justin Witter had three hits as he knocked in four runs, while Blake Fields also had three hits with two RBI.
Cameron Donovan finished with two hits and three RBI. Mook Shepler had two hits with a homer. Mason Miller added two hits.
Caleb Greene worked 4⅔ innings for the Patriots with five strikeouts to get the win.
For the Bulldogs, Nolan Witte led the way with three hits.
Matt Stamper had two hits and two RBI, while Chris Pritchett drove in two runs.
Union County (16-6, 5-1) entertains Eastern Hancock on Thursday.
Centerville (11-9, 4-2) is back in action at home on Friday against Anderson.
