LIBERTY, Ind. – The Union County softball team posted a 14-7 victory over Hagerstown in Tri-Eastern Conference action on Thursday.
The sixth-ranked Patriots built a 10-1 advantage heading into the bottom of the fourth before the Tigers closed the gap to 10-7.
Union County put the game away with four runs in the sixth.
Fayth Hill went the distance on the mound with 12 strikeouts to earn the victory.
Hill and Tara Williams led the Patriots with three hits each, while Kristin Klein, Haylee Richards and Tori Russell all had two hits.
Carli Morris and Emma Hicks topped the Tigers with two hits apiece.
