LIBERTY, Ind. – Union County Head Coach Joel Hofmann earned his first win with the Patriots on Friday in a 62-7 decision over Oldenburg.
The Patriots led 16-0 at the first stop and built a 48-0 advantage by the intermission.
Blake Fields was 7-of-13 for 173 yards with three scores, while adding a rushing touchdown. Backup Derek Grissom tossed an 18-yard touchdown.
Cameron Donovan, Nate Webb, Tucker Coffman and Ryan Hensley each caught a touchdown pass.
Coffman led the Patriots with 156 yards rushing with a touchdown and Mason Wicker added a pair of touchdown runs.
Defensively, Donovan had three interceptions.
Union County (1-0) travels to Monroe Central next Friday.
