LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. – Union County had its nine-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday as the Patriots fell 3-2 in eight innings at Lawrenceburg.
Leighton Schulte and Cameron Donovan led Union County with two hits apiece. Both of them had doubles.
Schulte and Blake Fields each drove in a run.
Fields, Mason Miller, Preston Scott and Joey Weller all had one hit.
Noah Hartley tossed seven innings with eight strikeouts.
The Patriots (9-2, 3-0) entertain Hagerstown (8-1, 3-0) on Thursday in a battle for the top spot in the Tri-Eastern Conference baseball standings.
