RICHMOND, Ind. – The Union County baseball team swept a doubleheader from Seton Catholic on Saturday.
The third-ranked Patriots took the opener 12-1 and then won the second contest 12-0 in six innings.
Mason Miller had three hits and knocked in four runs in the first game, while Cameron Donovan drove in three runs with two hits.
Leighton Schulte and Mook Shepler both had a pair of hits.
Noah Hartley worked six innings and struck out five to get the win.
In game two, Zander Kottka had a homer and another hit to drive in three runs.
Miller had three more hits to give him six on the day.
Preston Scott had two hits and three RBI. Schulte had two hits and two RBI. Donovan added two hits.
Dustin Freeman picked up the win as he tossed five innings with six strikeouts.
Union County (24-3) entertains Franklin County on Monday.
