LIBERTY, Ind. – The Union County baseball team won its ninth straight on Saturday as the Patriots swept Oldenberg 13-3 and 10-0.
The opener was a six-inning affair highlighted by Cameron Donovan’s four-hit performance.
Donovan had a homer and a double to drive in five runs.
Leighton Schulte also homered and knocked in three runs.
Nate Webb contributed two hits with a home run, while Mason Miller also had a pair of hits.
Miller worked four innings on the mound to earn the victory with six strikeouts.
An eight-run fourth inning was the decisive factor in the second contest.
Jacob Stansbury banged a home run for the Patriots.
Miller had two hits and two RBI with Donovan adding a pair of doubles.
Preston Scott picked up the win as he tossed four of the five innings with six strikeouts.
The Patriots (9-1) travel to Lawenceburg on Wednesday.
