BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Northeastern’s Chaz Johnson finished his track season at the IHSAA State Finals on Saturday as he competed in the long jump at Indiana University. Johnson was 23rd in the field with a distance of 20-10¼. Nick Ryan of Crown Point won the event with a leap of 23-5½.

A pair of athletes from the Tri-Eastern Conference scored in their respective girls regional track meets on Tuesday night. Sophia Spence of Union City finished sixth in the 800 at Ben Davis with a time of 2:24.07. Northeastern’s Alizah Rankin was eighth in the discus at Shelbyville with a throw of 118-1.
