Losing the World Series is a disappointment for the players and fans.
The eight teams in this event will each have a second opportunity to be a champion.
The Second Chance Tournament games are being played with Strat-o-Matic cards and dice. The designated hitter is also being used for all games.
Seeding for the tournament was determined by the amount of wins attained that season. A coin flip used to break the tie for the sixth and seventh seeds.
Over the next eight days on Press Room Pass, each team will be profiled with the tournament scheduled to begin on Dec. 16.
The first and second rounds will be decided with a best of three series, while the championship series will be a best of five format.
