MIDDLETOWN, Ind. – Second-ranked Northeastern defeated No. 9 Shenandoah 35-33 in a battle of Class 2A teams on Friday night.
Tyler Smith the Knights with 22 and Jalen Hillard finished with four.
Nate Reynolds was the top rebounder for the Knights with six.
In the JV game, Quantrell Gammon hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer as Northeastern won 38-36.
Blake Hancock led the way with 15 points. Gammon finished with eight. Caylor Fisher had 11 rebounds. Cole Mikesell added four assists.
Northeastern (5-0) faces Seton on Saturday night in a contest at Earlham College.
