LIBERTY, Ind. – Mook Shepler’s rebound basket at the buzzer on Saturday night gave the Union County boys basketball team a 54-52 overtime victory over Eastern Hancock.
Shepler finished the night with eight points with four of them coming in the extra session.
Preston Scott led the Patriots with 18 points, while Mason Miller tossed in 11.
Cameron Donovan added seven points.
Eastern Hancock led 14-13 at the first stop after Addison True scored 11 of his game-high 31 points.
Union County was able to hold a 23-22 advantage at the intermission.
The Patriots were on top 36-32 after three periods before the Royals were able to tie it at 46-46 at the end of regulation.
Union County (9-3, 3-0) entertains Tri High (5-5, 1-1) on Friday in a Tri-Eastern Conference contest.
