Four Tri-Eastern Conference games highlight this week’s girls basketball schedule with two of them critical to the title chase.
The first contest is Hagerstown (13-7, 4-1) at Northeastern (2-15, 0-4) on Tuesday as the Tigers look to set up a showdown with Union City (15-3, 6-0).
If the Tigers win over the Knights, they would be one game behind Union City when they host the Indians on Friday, Jan. 29.
Union County (12-7, 3-1) needs a win on Thursday at Northeastern to keep pace with Hagerstown and Union City.
The action begins early with a pair of contests on Monday. Winchester (8-11, 2-4) visits Centerville (4-11, 1-3), while Tri (12-6) entertains Union (13-3).
There are two other games on Tuesday, with Lincoln (8-10) welcoming Knightstown (3-16) and Mississinawa Valley (3-12) at Union City.
Centerville is at Tri for the last TEC affair on Thursday. The remaining games that night are Lincoln at Blue River (9-11) and Randolph Southern (9-8) at Winchester.
On Friday, Northeastern is at Union.
Saturday’s slate features non-conference match-ups with Union City traveling to Wapahani (16-3) topping the list of games. The other two games are Muncie Burris (3-15) at Hagerstown and Winchester at Cowan (4-13).
