tec wall at union coSeven of the Tri-Eastern Conference girls basketball squads are in action in county tournaments this week with all of the title contests set for Saturday.

Four teams are in the Wayne County Tournament at Hagerstown.

“It’s a phenomenal tournament,” Hagerstown Head Coach Chris Oliger said.

With the top record in the event, Hagerstown (10-6) faces Centerville (4-10).

“It doesn’t matter what they are,” Oliger said of the marks of all four teams. “We’re going to have to come and give it our best shot to see if we can three-peat.”

Lincoln (6-8) and Northeastern (2-12) meet in Friday’s contest.

The Randolph County Tournament is at Monroe Central.

On Wednesday’s opening night, Randolph Southern (9-5) and Winchester (7-4) square off. The winner of that contest faces Union (9-3) on Friday.

No. 10 Union City (14-2) meets Monroe Central (11-4) in Friday’s second affair.

At the Henry County Tournament in Knightstown, Shenandoah (3-9) meets Knightstown (2-13) and Blue River (7-8) plays Tri (10-5).
