Three girls basketball teams from the Tri-Eastern Conference begin the week tonight with all of the squads playing on the road.
Tri (4-0) visits New Castle (2-1), Union City travels to Jay County (2-0) and Winchester is at Adams Central (0-3).
On Wednesday night, Centerville (0-3) looks for its first win of the season as the Bulldogs make a trip to Muncie Burris (1-2).
Perhaps the most difficult week for a TEC team belongs to Lincoln as the Golden Eagles face a pair of ranked squads.
“We’ve got a tough weekend,” Lincoln Head Coach Rob Bills said. “We play Lapel, one of the best teams in this area, and finish up with Shenandoah, another top team.”
Lincoln is at No. 3 Lapel on Friday, while the Golden Eagles welcome No. 9 Shenandoah to Cambridge City on Saturday.
Lapel (1-0), which plays at Elwood (0-3) tonight, beat Liberty Christian 89-32 in its first contest of the season.
Shenandoah (0-1) is at Blue River tonight. The Raiders fell to Winchester in their opener at home last week 53-42.
Also on Friday, Winchester plays at Tri in the TEC opener for both teams.
Other Friday Games: Centerville at Connersville (0-3), Monroe Central (1-1) at Hagerstown (2-1), Northeastern (0-3) at Cowan (0-0). Randolph Southern (1-0) at Union County (2-2).
Saturday’s Schedule: Centerville at Knightstown (1-2), Hagerstown at Randolph Southern, Jay County at Winchester, Mississinawa Valley of Ohio (0-0) at Northeastern, Union City at South Adams (0-3) and Union County at Eastern Hancock (3-0).
