ANDERSON, Ind. – Four players from the Tri-Eastern Conference played basketball for the final time last weekend representing their high school.
Hagerstown’s Bret Templin came away from the 1A/2A Indiana Class Basketball All-Star Classic at Anderson University on Saturday with an individual honor as was the recipient of the Kent Benson Fellowship of Christian Athletes Mental Attitude Award.
Templin and two other TEC players competed in the boys contest.
Robert Smith of Northeastern scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as he helped his squad to an 82-54 win.
Smith’s Northeastern teammate Bailey Stewart scored eight points for the other team, while Templin added seven points.
Maddie Fulton of Union County was the only girl from the TEC to play in the event.
Fulton finished with 17 points in her team’s 69-64 victory. She hit a 3-pointer late in the game to give her team the lead for good.
