MUNCIE, Ind. – A pair of Tri-Eastern Conference girls led the led the way in the Burris Invitational on Saturday at Ball State.
Lincoln’s Kerrigan Neff and Centerville’s Jolie Rusznak each won events in the 12-team meet.
Neff established new standards as she took the discus (102’4”) and shot put (36’3.5”). Rusznak won the 100 hurdles (17.53).
Lincoln’s Heidi Gabbard was second in the discus (102’1”) with a throw better than the old meet record.
Madison Adams of Northeastern was third in the shot put (31’11.5”). Centerville’s team of Kayla Newman, Kailee Tedder, Angela Boswell and Baylee Fry was third in the 3,200 relay (no time).
Centerville’s girls had the top TEC finish in fifth, while the Lincoln boys were seventh.
Lincoln’s top performers were Bryant Hilbert was second in the 110 hurdles (15.91). Austin Wampler finished second in the 3,200 (10:48.75).
Anderson won the boys meet and Pendleton Heights took the girls event.
