RICHMOND, Ind. – Three girls tennis players from the Tri-Eastern Conference are still alive in the state tournament after Friday’s competition on the Tiernan Center Courts.
Lincoln’s Jamie Buhl (14-0) (4-0) defeated Lilli Stewart of Franklin County (16-7) (4-0) in a tiebreaker in the final set by the scores of 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2).
In doubles. Lizzy Walther and Shelby Good of Centerville (16-1) (5-0) won over Abbie True and Kamryn Reed of Knightstown (16-3) (2-0) due to a withdrawal.
Next up for the sectional champions is the morning session at the Fishers Regional on Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m.
