RICHMOND, Ind. – A total 15 wrestlers from the Tri-Eastern Conference qualified for the semi-state on Saturday as three were crowned champions at thw Richmond Regional.
Elijah Phillips (132) and Alfredo Calderon (170) of Centerville led the Bulldogs with wins in their class, while they were joined by Tucker Coffman (160) of Union County was the other champion.
Centerville had four more advance to next Saturday’s New Castle Semi-State as they finished in the top four of their class.
Gabe Phillips (126) was second as Tyler Vredeveld (106), Hayden Busby (113) and Danny Clark (152) were each fourth.
Knightstown was next with three moving on to New Castle. Thomas Sollars (113) was second followed by Burias Wisner (285) in third and Nick Walsh (138) in fourth.
Northeastern had a pair advance as David Berger (195) was third and Cullen Browning (220) was fourth.
Hunter Brown (132) of Lincoln and Josiah Jackson (182) of Tri High both finished third.
Jake Combs (182) of Hagerstown was fourth.
