YORKTOWN, Ind. – Hagerstown’s boys golf team finished in sixth place on Thursday as the Tigers and Centerville competed in the regional at the Players Club hosted by Muncie Central.
Hagerstown posted a score of 321 as Carson Orr 77 and Kyle Cochran 77 led the Tigers with 77.
“We played very well,” Hagerstown Head Coach Billy Mullin said. “This is one of the toughest regionals in the state.”
“To finish in the upper third, we beat a lot of big schools,” Mullin continued. “Very proud of the effort.”
Kevin Beeson had an 83, while Caleb Cochran added an 84 and Luke Lannan had a 98.
Centerville was 17th with a 356. Mason Rader led the Bulldogs with an 80.
“Mason has played four years in the regional, twice with the team,” Centerville Head Coach Roger Martin said. “That’s a lot to be proud of.”
Sam Roberts finished with an 87 followed by Skyler Benedict 92, Aaron Glover 97 and Josh Duke 105.
“There hasn’t been a class of kids go through that have made it as a team twice,” Martin said of his seniors Rader, Benedict, Duke and Aydan Koyles.
Individually, Tri’s Konner Babrick had an 83 and Winchester’s Mason Melton finished with a 91.
Noblesville won the team title with Clay Merchant earning medalist honors with 66.
