CHARLOTTESVILLE, Ind. – The Class 2A sixth-ranked Hagerstown volleyball team survived a tight battle on Saturday to defeat Indianapolis Tindley 25-15, 19-25, 15-12 to win the championship match at the Eastern Hancock Invitational.
The Tigers (23-1) beat Eastern Hancock 25-12, 25-11, Frankton 25-13, 25-12 and Indianapolis Lighthouse 25-6, 25-5 to reach the finals.
In the championship contest, Brytni Dale and Amiee Hoodlebrink led the Tigers with eight kills.
Hoodlebrink added six blocks, while Dale led the way with 15 digs. Victoria Pierson contributed 10 digs.
The Tigers, who have won of 13 straight, entertain Blue River on Tuesday.
