HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – The Hagerstown volleyball team defeated Lincoln 25-18, 25-17, 25-14 in Tri-Eastern Conference action on Thursday night.
“We didn’t play our best,” Hagerstown Head Coach Brian Dale said. “I was frustrated that we made a lot of mistakes over and over.”
“We were able to control the nest and really took their offense out to where they had to almost tip everything,” Dale continued. “We played good enough to win and that’s the important thing.”
Jessica Swimm led the Tigers with 11 kills, while Lanie McClanahan added 10 kills.
Regan Tinkle finished with seven kills. Beth Jenkins had 33 assists.
“They played really well,” Lincoln Head Coach Greg Seidner said of the Tigers. “We would make a good play and then we would mess up.”
“It just wore us out going five (against Richmond) the other night,” Seidner added. “It was tough to build back up for a team like Hagerstown. They’re really good.”
Laynie Russell led the Golden Eagles with nine kills, while Allie Owens added five kills and an ace.
Rachel Merida had 18 assists and 13 digs. Kami Laymon had 10 digs. Emmie Pugh contributed a pair of aces and a block.
