HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – With three players recording scores in the 30s on Thursday, the Hagerstown boys golf team had a balanced effort to defeat Richmond 156-164 at the Hartley Hills Golf Club.
“I thought our kids took a lot of pride in playing a good team like Richmond on our home course,” Hagerstown Head Coach Bill Mullin said. “We got really strong play tonight from Jonathan Clark and Kyle Cochran, while Ben Tinkle and Caleb Cochran continued their steady play.”
Jonathan Clark led the Tigers with a round of 38. Kyle Cochran and Ben Tinkle both shot a 39. Caleb Cochran was next with a 40.
Hagerstown’s other scores were Kevin Beeson (48), Alec Shilling (49), Nate Burns (53), Luke Lannan (55), Christian James (55), Luke Girdley (55) and Austin Herr (57).
Richmond’s scores were Evan Williams (35), Jake Miller (38), Jarret Focht (39), Garret Byrd (52) and Jackson Hillard (54).
Hagerstown participates in the Brownsburg Invitational on Saturday.
