HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – The Hagerstown football team celebrated Homecoming on Friday with a 28-7 victory over Centerville.
Owen Golliher led the Tigers as he threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another in the Tri-Eastern Conference contest.
In the opening period, Golliher found Brett Burns for a 5-yard scoring pass to make it 6-0.
Dylan Benedict hooked up with Cole Cooper on a 10-yard pass for Centerville’s only score of the night late in the first quarter. After Dante Torres booted the extra point the Bulldogs led 7-6.
Just before the intermission, the Tigers took a 12-7 lead on a 2-yard run by Mason Hicks.
After a scoreless third frame, Golliher put the Tigers up 20-7 in the final stanza with a 35-yard run and then he passed to Grant Vinson for the two-point conversion.
The last score the Tigers came when Jalen Oliver caught a 5-yard pass from Golliher. Golliher added a pass to Cameron Purtha for the final two points of the evening.
Hagerstown (5-2, 4-1) welcomes Union City (3-4, 2-3) next Friday, while Centerville (2-5, 2-3) entertains Union County (2-5, 1-4).
