LIBERTY, Ind. – The Hagerstown boys golf team won the Union County Invitational on Tueaday as the Tigers finished with a score of 320.
“To shoot 320 at the Liberty Country Club from the blue tees is special,” Hagerstown Head Coach Billy Mullin said.
Union County was second in the nine-team affair with a 340. Centerville finished third with 355, while Union City was ninth with 496.
Caleb Cochran of Hagerstown was the medalist as he carded a 34 on his final nine holes to end the event with a 72.
“I am super proud of Caleb Cochran’s round today,” Mullin said. “He put on a ball striking clinic. Kyle (Cochran) and Carson (Orr) played very well also.”
After shooting a 75, Tyler Dunn of Union County won a playoff with Mason Rader of Centerville to take second place.
Hagerstown’s Kyle Cochran had a 78 to finish fourth, while fellow Tiger Carson Orr was fifth with a 79.
