KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. – The Hagerstown boys basketball team took another step toward the Tri-Eastern Conference title on Saturday as the Tigers defeated Knightstown 64-58.
The Tigers had three players in double figures led by Cody Swimm with 15 points.
Drew Pyle finished with 13 points, while Jalen Oliver finished with 11. Noah Dale added nine.
For the Panthers, Garrett Thomas led the way with 14 points.
Jose Olivo had 12 points and Jarred Porter contributed 10 points.
The Tigers led 18-8 after the first period before they expanded their advantage to 31-19 by halftime.
After three quarters, the Tigers were on top 43-34.
Hagerstown (14-6, 6-1) entertains Tri High (6-13, 1-6) on Tuesday night as the Tigers look for a share of the TEC crown.
First place Union County (16-6, 7-1) has finished its league slate and would share the championship with the Tigers, if they were to win on Tuesday.
Knightstown (5-15, 3-5) gets a visit from Frankton (18-3) on Tuesday.
