WINCHESTER, Ind. – The weather conditions may not have been the best for a golf match, but it didn’t matter for the Hagerstown boys golf team on Wednesday as the Tigers posted a 149-216 win over Union City at the Winchester Golf Club.
Led by Ben Tinkle’s school record 33 in the Tri-Eastern Conference contest, the Tigers also tied the top team score in the history of the program.
Chad Melton and Austin Robinson previously held the 9-hole record for the Tigers with a 34. Hagerstown had its other 149 team score back in 2011.
Hagerstown’s other scores were Jonathan Clark (37), Caleb Cochran (39), Kyle Cochran (40) and Kevin Beeson (43).
Isaac Davison led Union City with a 47, the other scores for the Indians were from Reece Martin (56), Jordan Stuckey (56), Cameron Vincent (57) and Chase Jefferis (61).
The Tigers (3-0 in the TEC) entertain Richmond at Hartley Hills on Thursday.
Union City is at the Winchester Invitational on Saturday.
