Last year’s Class 1A state runner-up Tri High is at the top the list in the latest softball poll from the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association, while two other Tri-Eastern Conference squads were ranked.
The No. 1 Titans finished 25-4 last year as they fell to Tecumseh 3-0 in the state title contest.
In Class 2A, Union County is ranked sixth with Northeastern coming in at No. 12.
Both teams shared the TEC crown a year ago.
Union County finished 21-6.
Northeastern was 22-6 overall as the Knights also won sectional and regional championships.
Tecumseh moved up in class following its state championship and is No. 5 in 2A.
