LEWISVILLE, Ind. – The Tri softball team broke open a tight contest with nine runs in the fourth inning on Tuesday and never looked back as the Titans defeated Monroe Central 17-6.
The Titans led 8-6 when they exploded offensively to put the game away one inning later.
Kirsten Falck led the Titans with four hits and four RBI. Mackenzie Peggs also had four hits and knocked in three runs.
Jesse Spong and Abbi Coffman added two hits apiece for Tri. Coffman was the winning pitcher.
Tri (6-2) travels to Cowan on Thursday.
