LYNN, Ind. – The Tri girls basketball team advanced to Friday’s semifinal contest of the Class 1A Sectional 56 at Randolph Southern with a 44-32 victory over the host Rebels on Tuesday night.
The Titans (16-6) will meet Union (17-5) in the second contest of the night after Union City (18-5) and Seton (9-14) square off in the opener.
Payton Moore led the Titans with 13 points and seven rebounds against the Rebels (11-11) on Tuesday.
Cayla Johnson added a dozen points for Tri, which led at the end of every quarter as they bounced back from a 40-30 regular season loss to the Rebels in Lynn.
Mackenzie Peggs and Addy Edwards each finished with six points for the Titans.
